Digging Up the Past...

I just found my tote full of Barbies and clothes/accessories.  I have a bunch of Barbies and the fun part is that they are all from the 1980's up until the early/mid 90's.  I'm selling most of my collection on Ebay right now (for Roo's Hobbies) just because I would rather they go to someone that will actually do something with them unlike me having them sitting in storage for like 20+ years now!

I kept my "Sleeping Beauty" doll that I bought because she still has her shoes, jewelry, crown, and pillow.  And I decided to keep a handful of handmade Barbie clothes including 2 things my mom made me when I was little. :-)

Here's my Briar Rose/Princess Aurora doll- she comes with the blue version of her ball gown (Disney film) and also a little blue pillow.  When you squeeze the pillow it plays "Once Upon A Dream" but after so many years sitting, the battery is dead. :-(  On the back of her neck is a lever and if you pull the lever, her eyes close- so if you lay her on her pillow it looks as though she's sleeping. :-)

Here are the few outfits I kept~

This petite floral summer dress (left) and green w/silver trim cloak (right) were both made by my mom:

All these outfits were made by a local lady who had a small craft store attached to her house. Granted, this was over 20 years ago but I have a vivid memory of picking these out with my mom!
